Crafting Creativity, Building Community

Welcome to Curios and Notions

A Creative Space for Crafting, Community, and Sustainability

At Curios and Notions, we celebrate creativity, craftsmanship, and sustainability. Our makerspace and store in Gays Mills are a haven for those seeking to craft with intention, explore vintage treasures, and connect with a community of like-minded creatives.
Whether you’re a seasoned maker or a curious beginner, our curated selection of local art, vintage sewing machines, and eco-friendly craft supplies will inspire you to create something meaningful.

Our Store & Makerspace
Step into our cozy and refined space, where every area is designed to spark your creativity. With room for up to 10 sewing machines to be operated per class, we offer a dynamic environment for crafters of all kinds.
Our curated collection features local fiber arts, vintage sewing machines (both treadle-powered and electric), and high-quality, handmade quilts. Our workshops are hands-on, ensuring that each participant gets the attention and guidance they need to bring their projects to life.

Vintage Sewing Machines & Workshops
We specialize in vintage sewing machines — from classic treadle-powered models to electric machines that are perfect for both beginners and experienced sewists. Our workshops are designed for small groups (10 machines in use at a time) to ensure personalized instruction and a welcoming, community-driven environment. Whether you’re learning to sew on a vintage machine or discovering new techniques, our family is here to support you at every step.

Craft Kits for Every Crafter
We offer thoughtfully curated DIY craft kits, perfect for crafters of all experience levels. Our kits are designed with sustainability in mind, using upcycled materials and eco-friendly packaging. Featured kits include:

  • Spring Quilt Kit: Pre-cut fabric squares designed for easy beginner quilts.

  • DIY Embroidery Kit: Everything you need to start your first embroidery project.

  • DIY Collage Kit: A small kit for crafting your own mixed media creations.
